With Sporties smashing Thomposons last weekend this has just become an even bigger game than it usually is!
I know that it is a new season and there are 19 other games to be played, but I cannot stress enough the importance of getting these 3 points at such an early stage.
We have several new signings to bed in and it looks likely there will be a couple of other new faces to arrive before the weekend, so I am feeling pretty positive about the game and the season in general. We have a good sized squad and with some luck should be able to compete for league and cup honours this season.
On a less positive note, it was finally confirmed this week that we have lost Rob Fraser to Sporties and it looks likely he will be in line to face us this Sunday. Rob had a cracking season for us last year and we were suprised and disappointed to hear he wanted to leave. Good look to him at his new club - but it is now up to us to show him that he has made a mistake leaving and that we are still the no.1 team in this league.

Brilliant result boys! On the hour or so that I managed to watch I thought we thoroughly deserved the win. Sporties will no doubt point to the sendings off, especially Rob's, but we can't control what the Ref does and just have to do what we can to win games. Good to see some excellent performances from certain individuals and I have to agree with Ben that the squad looks strong and should do well in the league and cup competitions this year. I just hope I can get some games in! Roll on Henley's next week.
