Hello All, Good to see a comprehensive win on Sunday, the season seems to be going along quite nicely! I am missing you all but hopefully I'll get a chance to catch up with you in a couple of weeks time. In the meantime I might arrange a friendly between Ossy and Leven U8s, no disrespect to Ossy but if Ricky can score against them... well done Rick is that your first goal in 327 appearances? And Darville what's going on Beaver looks a dead cert for this season's goalden boot - best get your finger out! Would be nice to have a bit of craic on this board but it appears no-one bothers at the minute. If you are reading - keep up the good work Police!

I was at the Osmotherley game and represent the North Riding dubious goals goals panel.
Firstly I would like to point out that from where I was standing, it was clear to see that Richard Schofield made no contact with the ball on its path to the goal.
Furthermore the ball found the bottom corner via a deflection off an Ossy defender. The inital shot was going wide and therefore even if Ricky had touched the ball prior to it hitting that defender...it still wouldnt be his goal. It is my opinion that this goal should therefore be considered an OG?
Unfortunatley Mr Schofield will have to wait another 200 games for his next shot at goal!

I was also at Osmotherley on Sunday and noticed that Richard did appear to make contact with the ball, but unfortunately the dubious goals panel will have to watch video replays of this effort as it would appear it was heading in the direction of the corner flag until it took a 'big' deflection off the unfortunate Osmotherley defender and travelled slowly into the net. There's always next week Ricky!!
